Law of 12 November 2004 (AML/CFT)

The founding law on combating money laundering and terrorist financing in Luxembourg. It defines the due diligence, identification and reporting obligations applicable to financial sector professionals.

CSSF Circular 17/650

The CSSF (Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier) circular setting out detailed requirements for governance, internal organisation and controls for the prevention of money laundering.

CSSF Circular 19/732

Updated CSSF requirements on customer due diligence measures, including the identification of beneficial owners and client risk assessment.

AMLD5 and AMLD6 Directives

The Fifth and Sixth EU Anti-Money Laundering Directives, transposed into Luxembourg law. They strengthen transparency obligations, the beneficial ownership register and harmonise criminal offences.

AMLR Regulation

The directly applicable EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation, supplementing the AMLD directives and aimed at harmonising due diligence and reporting rules across the European Union.
